CTGR is striving to accelerate the development of photovoltaics, and attaches equal importance to centralized and distributed photovoltaic power generation. It is seizing opportunities to adopt solar-plus business models, which marry farming, fishing and storage with solar power, and follows a development strategy of expanding from pilot cities to the whole country. As of today, CTGR has accumulatively acquired over 30 million kilowatts of solar resources, and operates solar projects across 21 provinces and autonomous regions, including Qinghai, Shanxi and Shaanxi, with a cumulative installed capacity of over 7GW.

One of China’s first leading solar projects, the power station combines photovoltaic power generation, the development of areas of coal mining subsidence, ecological restoration, and the transformation of resource-dependent cities’ power supplies.
190MW photovoltaic power station in Shuangliao, Jilin Province
The power station, the largest project to marry farming and photovoltaics in Jilin Province, follows a new model that combines photovoltaic development with farming and animal husbandry. It is intended to transform the use of land, agricultural development and ecological infrastructure protection, and gradually form a new trend of circular economic development whereby animals are raised on grass and their manure is used on farmland.
